Life before laptops? It didn’t exist…
Man, this laptop business is cool! Of course, it seems to weigh a ton, but it’s nice being able to get a few things done here and there when I have time (moments which tends to be few and far between). I’m close to having this thing set up… apache, php, mysql, eclipse - man, I’ve got a lot of development tools! But this should help my productivity - I hope. I just have to get used to either this joystick mouse - or the touch pad.
Chris & I ate at Bagelman’s today for lunch (with his brother, Rudy). They have wireless access there, now (I’m not sure how long they’ve had it - I never cared until now). It was nice to be able to synchronize with our code-base, check the news, and my email - all while eating my BBQ turkey sandwich. Now if the Town of Normal would get wireless access in all the parks - I’d be a happy, happy man…
Oh, and if there’s a “Jeff” who lives in Normal around “Red Bird Arena” with a wireless home network called “Jeff’s Home Network"… you need to secure you’re network, dude!
